Sundays Are For Coffee Dates 2024

12/29/24 The last coffee blog post of 2024!! Bakeri on 105 Freeman St, Brooklyn, NY 11222. I got an iced coffee and a rosted pulled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was immaculate and I loved the vibe of the cafe. This space was crowded which we can say is a good thing but I personally wished I came here in the summer to just eat outside. The customer service was warm and welcoming. I will for sure come back when the weather is warmer. 11/25/24 Harlem Cafe on 2259 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY 10027. It was great spot to grab a meal with good hospitality. I'll come clean, the pancakes were not the best but the chicken shawarma was a 12/10. The iced coffee was also really good. I then went to Ponty Bistro on 2375 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY 10030. The waitress who handled us was amazing and had a great sense of humor. I felt the French and West African culture the moment I walked in. I had several moroccan old fashioneds and they were immaculately made. Today's theme was inspired by Kanye's Good music Christmas in Harlem. I got to spend the holiday with my close friends and that's all that matters in moments like this. I really appreciate those of you who have been coming to my page on a weekly basis to read my blogs. I am working on gift card giveaways next year that will be raffled on a weekly basis or those who purchase from the site. 12/22/24 Mushtari Cafe on 31 W 125th St, New York, NY 10027. It's actually a hidden cafe within a hardware store. The store and cafe itself is very aesteically pleasing. The crossiants and pastires did not capture my eyes but with a scenery like this one thats fine. It's one of those spaces you can bring outside meals and enjoy the coffee at. I got a regular iced coffee. It was worth the 5 bucks. Definitely a place I'd go to if I magically respawned on 125th. 12/15/24 Cafe Colette on 79 Berry St, Brooklyn, NY 11249. Words cannot describe how good this cafe is. From the meal to the coffee to the hospitality. I got coffee with Jameson Whiskey , eggs, bacon and pancakes. The coffee was everything and more. The meal was aesthetically pleasing and very good. The hospitality felt warm and I felt like a regular despite it being my first time. I am for sure coming again. If you happen to be in Williamsburg for Brunch or at night you should stop by. Feel free to send me any coffee store recommendations on instagram @DifferentlyUptown or Twitter @Najeezus.12/8/24 Coppola Cafe on 171 West 4th Street, New York, NY 10014. Parma Ham Panini was cool, I was not a fan of it's texture and taste but I imagine it's for people that have a preferred Italian appetite. The iced coffee was good. The cafe was packed but that is a good sign for a Sunday morning coffee shop. I recommend going if you like Italian food and aesthetics. 12/1/24  A’more Caffé on 150 E 2nd St, New York, NY 10009. ButterCup Latte was top tier. I stopped by Karma Bookstore on 136 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009 and copped Rap is Risen a rapbook covering New York Photographs from 1988-2008. If you're in the area I recommend going to both places. Feel free to send me any coffee store recommendations on instagram @DifferentlyUptown or Twitter @Najeezus.

11/24/24 This sunday I went to Sheza Coffee House on 6050 Riverdale Avenue. It was a nice aesthetic and the place was packed. The barista was busy and deserved every tip. I got a lavender iced coffee and a banana muffin, I ate the muffin before I got a chance to take a picture but both were enjoyable. You're unable to have laptop use on the weekends which I think most stores should have. I think of the weekends as a place for more social interactions. As you can see I was able to illustrate a different type of post this time around. I am learning to be better for 2025. Feel free to send me any coffee store recommendations on instagram @DifferentlyUptown and twitter @Najeezus.

11/17/2024 This Sunday I went to Sugar Sweet Sunshine at Essex Market 88 Essex St, New York, NY 10002. I did something different today and tried the The Coffee Java Xpress and Banana pudding. Both were great options. The Coffee Java Xpress tasted good, you could taste the coffee and it had a good chocolaty aftertaste. Today meant more than just a treat for me as social media engagements confirmed they enjoyed my coffee content. It's moments like these that have motivated me to blog. I promise to become better at blogging for 2025. Feel free to send me any coffee store recommendations on instagram @DifferentlyUptown and twitter @Najeezus.
11/10/2024 This Sunday I went to Harpoon Hanna's on 211 Main St Unit 1, New Rochelle, NY 10801. I bought an iced coffee, pumkin spice muffin and an avocado toast. This was my first time buying an avocado toast and it did not disappoint. It was called a Devil's Reef Toast which had deviled eggs. The space was roomy for computer work and parking was pretty generous as the shop is in a plaza. It's roughly 20 minutes away from Uptown and pretty close to Trader Joes where you can indulge in a treat before or after grocery shopping. Feel Free to message me any coffee store recommendations on instagram @DifferentlyUptown.
11/3/2024 This sunday I took a solo trip to Ovder on 76, 80 Kraft Ave, Bronxville, NY 10708. It was just a store front which was fine with me since I went by myself. I bought a macchiato , iced coffee and banana bread. I normally don't sweeten drinks unless they are presweetened, I just add whole milk. Everything appeared to be freshly brewed as I tasted. The banana bread was good. I recommend this place for anyone that is in the Bronxville area, it is also a 20 minutes or less drive from Uptown. Feel free to message me any coffee store recommendations on instagram @DifferentlyUptown .10/27/2024 This sunday I went to LeRéveil on 1322 2nd Ave. The space was pretty small but cozy. Finding parking today was a hassle but that has nothing to do with the coffee shop. With it being the last weekend of October I grabbed a Pumpkin Spice latte. I also got a banana pudding muffin which was oddly satisfying. It was a combination of mushy like pudding with some base like a muffin. This is a coffee shop that locals or people who commute via public transportation would like as parking was a hassle. Nonetheless what I had was awesome. Feel free to message me via instagram @DifferentlyUptown with other coffee shop recommendations.Went to the Fancy Kook today and enjoyed a caramel macchiato with some cookies. the order came with a free halloween cookie and a shot of orange juice. The drink was amazing and my date had a hot apple cider. I even won a $10 gift card for spending over $20. I recommend going here. 1433 1st Ave., New York, NY 10021.10/20/24 I went to The Fancy Kook on 1433 1st Ave this Sunday and it could possibly be some of the best caffeine I have tried. I got a caramel macchiato  with cookies and my date got a hot apple cider. The drink came with a free halloween cookie and a shot of orange juice. I even won a $10 gift card for spending over $20. I recommend this place, very roomy for laptop use or for a calm coffee date. Feel free to message me on instagram @DifferentlyUptown to with coffee shop recommendations.
